New Toys!

We had a little bit of a buying spree a few weeks ago.  Mark and I purchased a rowing machine, which we both hope to use to keep us fit when the weather is unfit.  It is working out well for both of us, I like it because I am sitting down, not stressing my feet too badly.  It does give us a workout!
We've been working on getting Mark's office ready so that he can work at home more often.  He bought a small desktop computer to use in here, as well as a used office desk.  It is starting to shape up into a real office!
We also bought a large screen HDTV for the loft.  We are now the owners of two HDTV's, the second one got moved to the basement to watch while we're working out.  Mark finished off the bookcase for the TV in the loft.  We are all ready for the Superbowl!
Lastly, Mark bought me the print of Vincent Van Gogh's "Starry Night" and had it framed.  Mark is pretty much a Van Gogh fiend, and he wanted one of the prints upstairs moved into his office.  I have said several times that "Starry Night" was my favorite Van Gogh, and one we didn't have.  So he remedied that for Christmas!  I love it, it has such dramatic color up against the tongue and groove wall.

Mid January update...

School is back in session, so I rarely have time to think about updating!  We had a snowfall last week of about 3-4 inches, not even as much as my GA friends got, but it gave me two days of school.  I did walk over to the other side of the pond to get a picture of the house, although I didn't take too many other pictures.  This snowfall wasn't as picturesque as the one on Christmas eve.  We are anticipating another snowfall tonight and into tomorrow, and the predictions of snow amounts keep going up, so we'll see.

The dogs love the snow, so they got a chance to get out and play for awhile!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year for everyone!  We had a quiet night of football and playing cards, and opened the champagne at 11 because Mark didn't believe that I would make it till 12.  I did though!  It still feels odd to me to be in the Central time zone, and we missed the ball drop at 11 because I was waiting till 12.  At 12:02, I was brushing my teeth and getting ready for bed!
Our break has been great, but it is back to the grind tomorrow...ugh!

This was the last official sunset of 2010....it went out in a blaze of glory!
